It is perfectly acceptable to remove the aligner for an important occasion or work thing that you just have to be at your best for, but if you make a habit of removing it and then make a habit of forgetting to put it back in when you’re done then your treatment plan will quickly fall apart; and with it your dream of that killer smile.

In the same way the Invisalign aligner must be removed before eating and should be replaced straight after, ideally having cleaned your teeth in between. For people with busy lifestyles who grab a bite to eat whilst dashing around from one important meeting to another, this could be troublesome. It is essential that the wearer be careful and cautious with their appliance to achieve full effects and this could cause an issue for some people who do not have space in their schedule to remember such little technicalities.

So, whilst the Invisalign aligner does have some potential drawbacks if you are not the most organised of people; with care and caution the appliance really could be the miracle you have been hoping for. It offers you the opportunity to rid yourself of your smile demons and does not cost you your street cred at the same time. Your daily life can continue as normal and you will have that little extra sparkle knowing that your smile will soon shine brighter than the festive lights of London.
