Brother HL 2140 – Keep Your Bank Account Heavy
The Brother HL 2140 was designed to be used for home usage as well as small businesses. It is great if you do not have a lot of room, as it is very compact and can be placed out of the way to give you more room. It is very fast and can produce up to 23 pages a minute all with the highest quality of printing. The HL 2140 was designed to save you money as it is compact so offers more space for other things, has a toner saver mode so you have to buy less toner, and saves energy by going into sleep mode when it is not being used. Upon purchase your printer will come with and instruction kit, DR360 drum unit and starter Brother HL 2140 cartridge. This is a great printer choice if you need high quality printing of which ink jets can no loner provide. It is very affordable for the single businesses owner or buyer. You will need to have a USB cable as this is not provided and should also buy an additional toner cartridge, as the starter toner is only good for about 250 pages.

The printer’s monthly duty cycle is a max of 10,000 pages and has a maximum print speed of 23 ppm. The machine has 8MB of memory and can print on various types of media including paper, bond, envelopes, labels and transparencies. The multipurpose paper tray can hold the standard paper sizes as well as other customizes paper as long as it is under 14 inches in length and 8.5 inches in width.
The printer can be set onto three different modes, print, stand by and sleep. It is energy efficient but can get warm when used continuously. If you print a lot you may want to have some ventilation nearby as it runs at between 50 and 90 degrees. A nice feature is that it is very quiet when printing producing on 51 decibels of sound.
If you are looking for an affordable printer that produces high quality print outs then the Brother HL-2140 is a great choice. This is a space and energy efficient model that has both automatic printing and a manual bypass paper feeder options.
