Saturday Night Was Finally Here

One Saturday, Lori was at the beauty shop in Morgan’s Cove. The owner, Lana, had just settled her under one of the dryers with a magazine and a cup of coffee. Her blond hair was set in large rollers. She was one of Lana’s regulars, coming in every Saturday for years.

Tonight she had plans to go to the clubs in nearby Margaritaville. It was a cool place where people of all ages went for a drink. Weekends were most crowded, this being a small town. Tonight was special though. One of the contestants from American Idol was going to do a show. True, he only made the first two cuts, but it was still exciting to think of seeing him in person.

Lori started daydreaming as she decided what to wear to the concert. Black denim jeans were one of her favorites. They were casual, yet dressy. She was wearing an emerald green sequined top with them. The dryer hummed on as she decided carefully which one of her best jewelry sets would look appropriate with her clothes for the night.

That night, she and her bff got ready to go together. They checked to make sure their hair was perfect and smoothed out their clothes. Lori wore the pale green earrings and necklace, which matched her green sweater. Kaylie wore a red sequined top and black leggings. She planned to stand out in the crowd.

Ruba was unhappy with the way her long brown hair looked tonight. She asked Lori if she used anything special to make hers shiny. She told her about nioxin intensive therapy recharging complex. They had discussed the fact they would never leave their drinks unattended, even for one second. No perverts were going to think they were easy targets tonight or any other night.

Opening their hobo handbags, they put in hairbrushes, lipstick and most importantly their identification cards and credit cards. They didn’t want to forget anything in their rush of excitement. They could now leave and get there for the concert without breaking any speed limit. They grabbed their bags and went out to see the minor celebrity who was appearing at the nightclub.
